SKCOL specializes in 2 areas:

1. Installing and maintaining dreadlocks on all hair types; and

2. Installing and maintaining extensions on all hair types.

3 reasons:

1. Installation. SKCOL uses a unique method to install dreadlocks that allows your hair to mature faster than other methods. You will leave the SKCOL studio with hair that looks like dreadlocks. Other methods can take 12-18 months to get the same desired look.
   
   SKCOL dreadlock hair extensions are installed using a hook on your hair, we do not pre-make dreadlock extensions or use any wax or gel products in our studio.
   
   SKCOL natural hair extensions are installed by pinch braid, Silk Flat Weft, Invisible Weft, Tape in, Micro Bead or Nano Bead techniques depending on your hair type and desired hairstyle.
   
   Hair extensions are ordered by SKCOL for you, at your consult.
   SKCOL only uses human hair for both Dreadlock and Natural hair extensions. Our methods ensure a seamless flow which is easy to maintain and keeps your locks looking flawless between your SKCOL appointments!
   
   

2. Maintenance. The SKCOL dreadlock installation method means your dreadlocks require little-to-no self maintenance between your SKCOL maintenance appointments. Depending on your growth rate, SKCOL recommends that your dreadlocks be maintained every 8-12 weeks.
   Well maintained dreadlocks mature faster and keep them growing neatly. Regular maintenance is recommended, the longer dreadlocks are left between maintenance determines your time in the chair.
   
   For SKCOL natural hair extensions, we recommend adjustment every 4-6 weeks. Maintain your natural hair extensions well so they can be reused at your next SKCOL appointment!
   
   

3. Client Care. At SKCOL, we focus on the client journey. This means we thoughtfully care about your experience from (a) your straight-forward online booking experience, to (b) how you want to spend your time in-studio during your appointment, and (c) flaunting your fresh look!

We keep it simple here at SKCOL. Consults are complimentary, installs are a flat-rate, and maintenance is charged per hour. Our pricing and 3 service options are:

Important Note

• If you're getting hair extensions, you will order + pay for them at your SKCOL Consult. Once your extensions have arrived, you will receive an email with a booking link.
  This may take 4-8 weeks depending on the supplier you choose.

Duration
Dreadlock installations take 6-12 hours. SKCOL aims to complete your installation in one sitting however, that can be a long day for some.

Hair Extensions take 1-5 hours depending on the extension service you choose.

Appointments
We understand that you may not be able to spare an entire day, or 3 consecutive days, particularly around work and family. With that in-mind, SKCOL dreadlock installation appointments are booked over any 3 days that best suit you. This ensures that you get a high quality installation, in comfort, around your schedule!

Hair extension installations will be completed in one sitting.

We are an all natural studio

• We do not use any products containing chemicals when delivering our services. SKCOL uses human hair only. If BYO synthetic hair is used, clients need to be aware that a reaction may occur.

Our products are ethically sourced

• We take steps to ensure that our products come from vendors that are also environmentally conscious and have standards for social, economic, and sustainable manufacturing practices.

Dreadlocks

Removal of dreadlocks is done by brushing out each individual dread. No buzz cuts here! SKCOL can remove them with a maintenance appointment!

Hair Extensions

Removal of hair extensions is easily done with a maintenance appointment. Hair extensions need to be adjusted every 6-8 weeks depending on your growth rate and how they've been cared for. Keep the hair extensions for your next SKCOL install!
